The Backlot Cinema
Located outside Houndshill Shopping Centre, The Backlot Cinema is Blackpool’s newest entertainment haven. From the latest Hollywood releases to independent gems, cinema classics and big screen events, The Backlot curates an exciting and diverse programme of films.
With nine cinema screens, including a super-sized IMAX screen with the sharpest visuals and immersive audio, audiences are guaranteed an unforgettable cinematic experience.

Showtown
Located in the heart of Blackpool, Showtown is an immersive museum that showcases the entertainers and performers who put our town on the map. With a variety of exciting exhibitions, family workshops and heritage talks, Showtown is a fun-filled venue for everybody to enjoy.

Aunty Social
Established in 2011, Aunty Social is a community arts organisation which hosts a diverse range of arts and cultural activities. This volunteer led organisation provides people with the opportunity to develop their creativity, learn new skills and meet others in a positive and welcoming space.
The venue features an arts & craft workshop, a meeting space, a photography darkroom and a shop, and is also the home to Blackpool Film Festival’s HQ.

Abingdon Street Market
Home to over 20 independent businesses, Abingdon Street Market is one of Blackpool’s key food and retail hubs. Their food hall serves a tasty array of street food and drinks from a number of independent vendors, and their retail market stocks everything from fresh produce to home decor and clothing.
Abingdon Street Market also features a dedicated community area, which welcomes all for workshops, talks and charity events.

Just a 5 minute walk from Blackpool North train station, Central Library is where we started our community cinema back in 2011. The building that contains the library and the Grundy Art Gallery has been designated a Grade II listed building by English Heritage.

Founded in 1911, the Grundy Art Gallery boasts a varied year-round exhibitions programme that draws on the unique and invigorating context and heritage of Blackpool. The exhibitions and displays frequently incorporate pieces from their collection, containing an eclectic range of art and other items from furniture to ceramics, to netsuke ornaments to Victorian oil paintings.
