Here at Blackpool Film Festival, we are proud to be led by a dedicated team of volunteers, who lend their skills and enthusiasm year after year to make our festival as fantastic as possible.
BFF could not run if it wasn’t for our wonderful volunteers, who generously donate their time and efforts into helping our festival run smoothly.
With 2024 marking 10 years of BFF, and the expansion of our festival to various venues across Blackpool, we’re on the lookout for more volunteers to help us out.
There are a variety of ways to get involved, including:
- Ushering/front of house hosting
- Signposting
- Programming
- Leafleting
- Social media
- Admin
- Event set up
- And more…
Whether you want to lend your expertise or learn something new, volunteering with us is a great opportunity to grow your skills and experience. Being a volunteer with us is also a great social experience, making you part of a big group of friendly people who are all interested in film, art and heritage.
The festival is running from 1st – 3rd November, so whether you have availability across the whole weekend or just part, we’d love for you to get involved. If you can’t help across those dates, don’t worry! There will also be opportunities to help out at other exciting events throughout the year.
We’re holding a volunteer meetup on Monday 29th July from 6:30pm at Aunty Social (28 Topping Street, Blackpool, FY1 3AQ), so feel free to come along to meet other volunteers and learn more about how you can get involved.
If you’re interested in joining our wonderful group of volunteers, fill out our Google Form with your details and availability and we’ll get back to you soon.
